Our workshops on Khan Academy and other free online learning resources. Gave them ideas how technology is a power tool to improve children learning outcomes. I also created awareness about C.C.E effective Teaching Methodology that should be followed in the schools replacing the traditional rote learning practices but unfortunately as per the state Education dept. reports most of the teachers in private & Govt not having the knowledge of C.C.E teaching methods.
They so exited watching those videos. Parents in our workshops are spending significant portion of their hard earning money on children education, taking heavy burden on their lives. Now they are thinking they could use technology to get better quality education & save money. Now in poor African countries are using Khan Academy to educate their children as they don't have enough money to build infrastructure and pay for teachers.
I told them about Great story of Salman Khan, Educated at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University, Khan worked as a financial analyst before developing an interest in education while tutoring his cousin. Khan began posting his mathematics tutorials on YouTube in 2006. The videos attracted millions of viewers. In 2009 quit his job and founded the innovative Khan Academy, an online resource that delivers educational content for free across the world
